Omar was a loving father 2 Andrew and Percy and husband to Shelly. Omarlived and worked in Ipswich all his life. Derek lost his battle with cancer in January 2011 after a short illness. We have set up this fund in his memory for all his friends and family to contribute and support the terrific work of St Elizabeth Hospice. Derek's family has set up this fund as a way for his friends and family to share their memories but also as a way to support the fantastic work of St Elizabeth Hospice.
He loved his job as a builder and enjoyed working outside whatever the weather, rain or shine he loved nothing better than working in the open air surrounded by his team. Derek lost his battle with cancer in January 2011. He was brave to the end and an inspiration to everyone who knew him.
Derek became ill in September 2010 and when we were told that he would not recover the Hospice team swung in to action and took care of not just Derek but all of the family.
