We’re deeply saddened to announce the passing of Brian Witney, who gained his wings on 4th September 2024, following a hard-fought battle with Liver Cancer.

Brian was a valued friend to all and a cherished husband, father, and uncle.

He was never happier than when he was spending time with his wife, two daughters or watching his beloved Preston North End.

Brian will be remembered forever for his character. Full of charisma, charm and cheek.

He had the most beautiful nature, so kind and caring. He made a lasting impression on everyone that he met.

Brian was a true gentleman.

Words alone could not describe the hole he has left. He was loved and adored by so many, He will be grately missed by all.

To celebrate Brian's life, we would like to invite you to his funeral service, which will be held at Charnock Richard Crematorium on Friday 27th September 2024 at 9:30 am.

The dress code is smart, traditional funeral attire. However, as an ode to Brian's love for all things Preston North End, at the families request, it would be encouraged that guests can tastefully incorporate club colours of navy blue and white, where possible.

Once the service has finished, we will be holding a wake at St. Gerard's Parochial Centre, where family and friends will be able to raise a toast to Brian.
